Flying Squirrels to welcome 3 millionth fan

richmond flying squirrelsThe Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are excited to welcome their 3 millionth fan into The Diamond during this final weekend series against the Altoona Curve.

The Squirrels enter play Saturday night with a total of 2,992,406 fans since the team’s inception back in 2010. The lucky 3 millionth fan who walks into the Squirrely gates will be lavished with prizes that include 2017 season tickets & parking pass, merchandise and a customized authentic Squirrels jersey.

The esteemed guest will join Rodney Martin (2 millionth fan on June 28, 2014) and Ben Young (millionth fan on May 11, 2012) in the exclusive club as the Flying Squirrels wrap up their seventh season in the Eastern League.

“We are thrilled to celebrate together with our wonderful fans as the three millionth fan enters The Diamond to enjoy this experience,” said Squirrels VP & COO Todd “Parney” Parnell. “The success we have had is a direct reflection on the love affair we have with our fans that will continue for many years.”

Richmond will continue the final homestand of the season tonight with Star Wars Night & In-Your-Face-Fireworks presented by the FOX series: Pitch.
