Cummings, Chadwick CarrollThe Waynesboro Police Department extradited a former Waynesboro man from Florida last week who had been on the run from a 2011 conviction in Waynesboro.  On September 16, two officers picked up Chadwick Carroll Cummings, 30 years old of Navarre, Florida, from Bay County, Florida, where he had been in custody since September 3.

In July 2011, Cummings was convicted of burglary and grand larceny in Waynesboro Circuit Court.  The charges stemmed from a May 2011 residential break-in in the 800 block of Washington Avenue where Cummings broke into a house and stole a television.  Although Cummings was convicted of the crimes, he was never sentenced for them.  He fled Virginia and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest in early 2012.

Officers were able to track him to Bay County, Florida where he was arrested by Florida authorities.

He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
