A full calendar of events for Highland County Second Wind kicked off with a “Movement for Health” exercise class in Bolar, a “Healthy Lifestyle Changes” lecture scheduled at the Highland Medical Center in Monterey, a stained glass workshop scheduled in McDowell, and the first segment of a movie entitled “The Dustbowl” to be shown at the Highland Library.
Participation was not as much as was hoped for, but the full calendar was distributed to all Highland County subscribers to the Recorder so in the coming weeks the numbers should be better. The calendar was scheduled to be published before the holidays, but was mistakenly distributed to Bath County subscribers, causing a delay in getting the word out in Highland. It did however, result in a bonus of free advertisement in Bath County!
Additional programs scheduled for this month include County Two-Step Dance Classes, lectures on “Safety in the Home,” “Everything You Should Know About Your Oral Health to be a Wise Consumer,” and “Managing Chronic Conditions,” a two-session presentation on Feng Shui, and the continuation of the movie and the stained glass workshop.
