Fatal crash on Interstate 64 involving Albemarle County man

600px-I-64Virginia State Police were on scene of a fatal crash at 7 a.m. Friday on Interstate 64 eastbound at the 159.9 mile-marker in Louisa County.

Virginia State Police Trooper G. Robinson investigated the crash.

A 2003 Honda Accord was traveling east on I-64 when it ran off the road to the right overcorrected to the left back over to the right, running off the road and striking a tree.

The driver of the Honda, Christopher E. Lee, 49 of Earlysville, died at the scene; he was wearing a seatbelt.

Speed is being considered a factor in the crash.
