Expect minor delays for bridge washing in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa

road-work-headerAlternating lane closures will occur in each direction on several highways in Culpeper District this week as crews perform bridge washing. Work will occur at the locations listed below Monday through Friday during daylight hours. Motorists should obey traffic controls and expect brief delays.

 

Albemarle County

Route 20 (Scottsville Road/Valley Street) – Washing bridges over the James River and Hardware River.

Route 22 (Louisa Road) – Washing bridge over Turkey Sag Creek.

Route 29/250 Bypass – Washing bridges over Route 654 (Barracks Road) and Route 29 Business (Fontaine Avenue).

Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway) – Washing bridge over Buck Island Creek.

Route 250 (Ivy Road) – Washing bridges over Route 29/250 Bypass, Buckingham Branch Railroad and Rivanna River.

 

Fluvanna County

Route 15 (James Madison Highway) – Washing bridges over Rivanna River and Cunningham Creek.

 

Louisa County

Route 208 (Courthouse Road) – Washing bridges along Route 208 corridor.

Route 250 (Richmond Road) – Washing bridges over Mechunk Creek.

Route 522 (Zachary Taylor Highway) – Washing bridges along Route 522 corridor.
