Chris Jericho is on-again, off-again in WWE. What would it take to get the former WWE champion back to pro wrestling full time?
“When I feel there’s something interesting to me I’ll get back in wrestling, but for now I’m plenty busy with everything I’m doing,” Jericho said in an interview with Newsmagazine Network.
And therein lies the rub. Something interesting. WWE creative has not been able to keep Jericho’s interest the past few years for anything more than limited runs that you have to assume Jericho does to make some extra cash and promote his band, Fozzy, as much as he does it to keep close to the squared circle.
Jericho basically confirmed as much in the interview.
“My priority now is with my band, Fozzy. I do so much touring with the band that my WWE wrestling appearances for now are far and in between. I still enjoy it,” Jericho said.
Here’s the telling comment: “I’ve never considered myself a wrestler. I consider myself an entertainer. Anything that falls within that show business umbrella I feel I can do. That’s how I set my goals.”
