Virginia Tech tailback Darren Evans underwent successful knee surgery Friday afternoon at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg. According to head athletic trainer Mike Goforth, Evans had the ACL in his left knee repaired and the lateral meniscus was trimmed. Dr. Marc Siegel performed the surgery.
Evans, a redshirt sophomore from Indianapolis, Ind., will begin rehab immediately and is expected to be back full for spring practice.
