Dukes win fourth straight

Senior guard Pierre Curtis led five James Madison basketball players in double figures with 17 points as the Dukes posted a 72-64 win over Norfolk State Wednesday night at the Convocation Center.

Curtis hit the 1,000-point mark for his career with a three-point play late in the first half, becoming the 24th player in JMU history to reach that milestone.

Sophomore forward Julius Wells had 14 points, a team-high eight rebounds, and three assists. Sophomore forward Andrey Semenov returned from injury to post 12 points, four boards, and two blocks off the bench. Freshman guard Darren White added 12 points while freshman forward Trevon Flores had the best game of his young career with 11 points and seven boards, both season highs.
