Cumberland County | Single-vehicle fatal crash kills driver, injures one

One person is dead and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Cumberland County.

The fatal crash occurred at 6:09 p.m. in the 2300 block of Cumberland Road.

The driver, Ricky D. Gray, 66, of Cumberland, was partially ejected from the Ford F-150 truck and died at the scene.

A passenger, Kisha Trent, 57, also of Cumberland, was taken to an area hospital for her injuries.

According to Virginia State Police, the truck was travelling northbound on Cumberland Road when it crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road, striking multiple trees.

The crash remains under investigation.
