A section of East Market Street in Harrisonburg will briefly close early next week during the overnight hours for installation of new decorative, stamped crosswalks at the intersection of East Market and Federal streets.
Work will take place overnight from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. for two nights, potentially beginning Monday evening, weather permitting.
The work will require East Market Street to be closed from Main Street to Mason Street during those hours. Traffic on Federal Street in the area will also be impacted.
Drivers should use an alternate route while work takes place.
