Update: Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. Update to the brush fire at the 4100 block of Green Creek Road. A total of 300 acres have burned.
The Department of Forestry has a fireline completely around the fire. Residents can expect to see smoke and some fire contained behind the fireline. There is no threat.
One adult has been charged with Careless Burning.
Albemarle County Fire Rescue and the Virginia Department of Forestry are currently responding to a brush fire at the 4100 block of Green Creek Road.
The fire is 25 percent contained. There are no injuries and no damage to structures. There is no need for evacuation, however smoke will be visible for miles.
There are no road closures.
