County board to hold first meeting of ’11

Chris Graham

The Augusta County Board of Supervisors will meet on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona.

The meeting is nominally the board’s reorganization meeting for 2011, with the focus being on the election of a new chair and vice chair for the year.

There is one other item on the agenda – the consideration of leases and operational agreements for the new Riverheads fire and rescue station in Greenville that had been tabled at the board’s Dec. 8 meeting.

The meeting is open to the public.
