Congressman McEachin announces grant awards

Donald McEachinCongressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced two healthcare-related grant awards. Virginia Commonwealth University received one for the Society for Heart and Vascular Metabolism 16th annual meeting and the Virginia Department of Health received monies for HIV monitoring and prevention programs.

“The importance of good medical research and care cannot be overstated,” said Congressman Donald McEachin. “These grants will allow better cardiac care and better HIV prevention. Improving outcomes for both of these dangerous ailments is a critical priority and I know this funding will help move us in that direction.”
