Donald McEachinCongressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced a grant totaling $289,505.00 was awarded to the Virginia Department of Health for the Virginia Arthritis Program.

“I am thrilled these monies are coming into our state to help combat arthritis and to assist those afflicted,” said Congressman Donald McEachin (VA-04). “Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States, impacting over 54 million adults. That number is expected to grow to more than 78 million by 2040. With those statistics in mind, it is vitally important that we devote resources to finding a cure and to aiding those who live every day with this crippling disease.”

The National Center for Chronic Diseases Prevention & Health Promotion, housed under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, awarded this grant.
