The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge is now accepting applications for the John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship through Nov. 16.

The John W. Greene Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide funds for educational scholarships to Waynesboro First Aid Crew members and/or their family members and Waynesboro Fire Department members and/or their family members. There are ten $1,000 scholarships available for the 2013-2014 school year.

There are no restrictions to the school or field of study. High school seniors and adults returning to college are encouraged to apply.

The Community Foundation administers over 20 scholarship funds for graduating seniors and adults pursuing higher education.
