College basketball: Longwood-Richmond game to air on CBS 6 in Richmond

AFP

longwood logoThe Longwood men’s basketball team’s Dec. 12 matchup at Richmond will be televised live on WTVR-TV CBS 6 in Richmond.

The 6:30 p.m. tipoff against the Spiders in the Robins Center will be the first of back-to-back televisions appearances for the Lancers. Longwood will follow the Richmond game with a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU Dec. 15 at Oklahoma State.

Longwood alumni wishing to attend the Richmond game can purchase tickets in the Lancer seating area and a pass to the Longwood RVA Connect pregame party in Millhiser Gym for $15 each. Tickets to the event – or solely the game for $8 – are available at the Longwood Alumni Relations Office event page.

The Richmond game will mark the first meeting between the teams since Nov. 24, 2009 and only the fourth game in series history.  It will be a homecoming for Longwood redshirt sophomore Khris Lane, a Richmond native and product of Benedictine High School who will play his first games as a Lancer in 2015-16 after sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules.

In addition to the television coverage for the Richmond and Oklahoma State games, all Longwood men’s basketball contests air live on Kickin’ Country WVHL 92.9 FM, at www.wvhl.net and on the TuneIn Radio mobile app.  All Lancer home games and select road games also stream live on the Big South Network.
