Did CM Punk departure have impact on WWE Monday Night Raw viewers?

rawThe first week of the post-CM Punk era wasn’t good for Monday Night Raw, which saw a significant decline in viewers from last week.

Raw drew an average of 4.210 million viewers over its three hours Monday night, down 10.7 percent from the Jan. 27 show and down 13.5 percent from Jan. 20.

This week’s show started off with 4.428 million viewers, down from 4.837 million for Hour 1 last week and more than 5 million from Hour 1 on Jan. 20.

Hour 2 this week dipped below 4 million, at 3.969 million, and Hour 3 bumped up slightly to 4.221 million.

Punk reportedly “quit” WWE last week, seemingly throwing the company into disarray heading into its important WrestleMania season.
