City of Charlottesville participates in 2016 Tom Tom Festival

CharlottesvilleThe City of Charlottesville will take part in several prominent events during the Tom Tom Founders Festival, the week of April 11-17.

The Tom Tom Founders Festival serves as a week of music, arts, and innovation through various workshops, panels, concerts, and more. “Tom-Tom has brought an amazing jolt of energy to Charlottesville’s creative economy,” said Mayor Mike Signer. “I’m proud to be part of the important conversation about how to bring more innovation to what’s already a world-class city.”

The following events highlight the City of Charlottesville’s involvement with the Tom Tom Festival:

Future Forum: Creative Economy 2025 (Monday, April 11, 5:30pm)
Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer will serve as one of the keynote speakers at Tom Tom’s launch event, which brings influential Charlottesville community leaders together to share their ideas about the future of Charlottesville’s arts and entrepreneurial scene. tomtomfest.com/events/future-forum.

Founders Summit (Friday, April 15, 9:00am – 5:00pm)
The City of Charlottesville Office of Economic Development is proud to be a community sponsor for a daylong summit that gathers the nation’s top innovators. Streets That Work LIVE (Saturday, April 16, 10:00am – 2:00pm)
As part of the Streets That Work Plan, the City of Charlottesville Department of Neighborhood Development staff will work to give passersby a chance experience new, innovative features that could shape the future of city streets.
