Morningside of Charlottesville residents have started a podcast to tell their stories, talk about life and discuss the past and present.

Twice a month, residents get together and talk about raising families, running businesses, dealing with loss and who has the best food.

The podcast is called C’dogs – a play on words with C’ville and Seadogs.

“Being part of the C’Dogs podcast has been such a special experience for me. It’s not every day that someone asks you to share your stories, and it feels wonderful to know that others are interested in hearing them,” said Jim Fitzgerald, a resident of Morningside Charlottesville. “I love how the podcast brings us all together, whether we’re sharing memories of our childhood or just talking about the little things that made our lives unique. “It’s a great way to connect and remember that our stories are important.”

The C’Dogs podcast, hosted by Josh Urban, offers a platform for residents to share their personal histories and cherished experiences.

“We have lively conversations about local companies,” said Urban, an area entertainer who’s the informal facilitator of the program.

“Residents of retirement homes often feel forgotten by the world. This is a great way for people to share their hard-won wisdom and contribute back to a listening audience.”

The podcast is part of programming designed to keep residents active. To date, there have been seven episodes produced.
