Charlottesville City Council appoints Leah Puryear to fill open Council seat

Charlottesville City Council has appointed former Charlottesville City School Board member Leah Puryear to the vacancy on City Council left by the resignation of Sena Magill.

Puryear was officially sworn-in during Monday’s City Council meeting by Charlottesville Clerk of Court Llezelle Dugger.

Puryear will serve until Dec. 31, 2023.
