Celebrating teaching event for early childhood educators

Reignite your flame and fill your cup; this is the motto for this year’s Celebrating Teaching Conference held by Smart Beginnings Shenandoah Valley and RMH Childcare Connection.

This day is one devoted to the professional development and education of childcare providers and pre-K teachers. The conference will be held in the CISAT Building on East Campus at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. This year the conference is taking a humorous approach to what causes burnout, ways to prevent it, and how to bounce back.

Several valuable workshops will be offered during three different sessions. Sessions include: Bookkeeping Tips for Child Care Providers, Laughter Yoga, Using a Literacy-Based Curriculum in the Early Learning Classroom, Ready, Set, Go!, “Oh No, Licensing is Here!”, and Inhale-Relax-Exhale. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.; box lunches will be provided.

Take this opportunity to join with colleagues to relieve stresses of the past and create new plans for the future. For more information, please call RMH Healthsource at 540.564.7200 or 855.564.7200.
