CDSME Student Intern Experienced First Health Fair

Sunnyside Healthfair 5.28.14Daniel Dadson, student intern with Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME), and Joyce Nussbaum, CDSME Coordinator, set up a table with information about CDSME at the Sunnyside Retirement Community Health Fair May 29.

The health fair was very well attended and many people were interested in attending the Diabetes Self-Management Program Workshop scheduled to begin at Sunnyside July 17. It was rewarding to talk with people who had attended workshops at Sunnyside in the past, and many shared how they continued to use what they learned to better manage their ongoing health conditions.
