Carrsbrook Drive in Albemarle County closed Nov. 16-Dec. 11

albemarleA portion of Route 854 (Carrsbrook Drive) in Albemarle County will be closed to through traffic for drainage pipe rehabilitation work beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16.

The road will be closed between Route 1432 (North Indian Spring Road) and Route 1419 (Marlboro Court) for approximately four weeks while crews make repairs to a drainage structure under the roadway. The road is expected to reopen the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 11, weather permitting.

East of the closure, motorists should follow the posted detour via Route 652 (Westmoreland Road/Old Brook Road). West of the closure, Carrsbrook Drive will remain accessible from Route 29. Access to all driveway entrances will be maintained.

Message boards are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure.
