Busy June at the Shenandoah Valley Art Center

AFP

Shenandoah Valley Art CenterThe Shenandoah Valley Art Center, during the month of June, in the Cabell/Arehart Gallery is the Members’ Anniversary Judged Show.

All participants exhibit the medium and artwork of their choosing. SVAC is proud that it is a community-based organization that showcases and supports its talented members with this annual exhibition. Leah Stoddard, independent curator and artist advisor based in Charlottesville, will be this year’s judge.

An opening and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, June 2, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and the public is encouraged to come, meet, and talk to the artists.

SVAC Fundraiser

SVAC invites you to come to a fund raising event: “Art Trivia Night.” Reserve a table for six for $200 or join a random group for $25 each. Enjoy an evening of prizes won answering questions about visual arts, music, and surprise subjects!  Remember, you do not have to be a trivia wiz to laugh, bid on the silent auction and relish an array of snacks and deserts. Please check the SVAC website for more details and to RSVP by June 2. (June 9, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., 416 W. Main Street)
