Bud Norris tagged in 8-1 Baltimore loss to Texas Rangers

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesBud Norris was lit up for five runs on nine hits in six innings Monday night, and the Texas Rangers blasted the Baltimore Orioles, 8-1, on Monday night at Camden Yards.

Norris (2-7, 6.79 ERA) lost his third straight start, and has won just once since returning from the disabled list on June 7.

Mitch Moreland homered twice off Norris, a solo shot in the second that was originally ruled in play, with Moreland thrown out at second, before that call was reversed on review, and a two-run shot in the fourth that was a no-doubter.

Wandy Rodriguez (5-3, 3.91 ERA) got the win, giving up a run on eight hits in five innings of work, striking out seven and walking two.

The O’s (41-35) are in a three-way tie for first atop the American League East standings with the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.
