Bryce Harper continued a recent tear with two more home runs Friday night, and Gio Gonzalez went deep into the game for the Nats in a 9-2 win over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night.
The win was the eighth in the last 10 games for Washington, which now stands at .500 (15-15) on the year.
Harper has three homers in Washington’s win over Miami on Wednesday, and hit a pair of shots tonight, a two-run blast in the sixth and a three-run homer in the eighth.
Danny Espinosa also had two homers for the Nationals, and Jayson Werth had a home run as well.
Gonzalez (3-2) went seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits, striking out eight and walking one, lowering his ERA in 2015 to 3.62.
Eric Stultz (1-3) took the loss for Atlanta, giving up three runs on seven hits in six innings, striking out seven without issuing a walk.
