Brogdon tests positive for COVID-19: Plans to be ready for NBA restart

Malcolm BrogdonUVA alum Malcolm Brogdon plans to be back with Indiana when the NBA season resumes next month after testing positive for COVID-19.

“I recently tested positive for the COVID virus and am currently in quarantine,” Brogdon said in a statement released on Wednesday. “I’m doing well, feeling well and progressing well. I plan to join my teammates in Orlando for the resumption of the NBA season and playoffs.”

Brogdon is averaging 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game for the Pacers (39-26), one of 22 NBA teams in the playoff hunt scheduled to resume the 2019-2020 season on July 30.
