Brief off-ramp closure at Exit 283 on Interstate 81 next week

A brief early-morning closure is scheduled on Wednesday, June 22, for the southbound off-ramp at exit 283 (Woodstock) along Interstate 81 in Shenandoah County. The off-ramp closure is needed for paving operations from 12 midnight to 4 a.m. The southbound on-ramp at exit 283 will remain open.

Southbound I-81 motorists can access exit 283 by continuing south to exit 279 (Edinburg) and then following northbound I-81 back to exit 283. Signs and variable message boards will direct drivers on the detour route.

All work is weather permitting.
