Bridgewater is the safest place to live in Virginia, according to an analysis by AlarmSystemsReview.com.
The website used the latest complete statistics from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report as well as other verified data sources and narrowed our focus to towns and cities with a minimum of 2,500 residents.
The analysis compared the numbers of reported crimes – both violent and property – to determine the overall total of reported crimes for each location. The site then calculated the rate of crimes to occur in a locale for every 1,000 residents to identify the safest places to live in Virginia.
Broadway placed second in the rankings, with Grottoes third, Timberville fifth and Lexington sixth.
