Bridgewater CollegeAnthony Cincotta, an adjunct instructor in music at Bridgewater College, will present a saxophone recital, “Anthony & Friends,” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in the Concert Hall in the Carter Center for Worship and Music at Bridgewater College.

For his saxophone recital, Cincotta will perform Épitaphe de Jean Harlow by Charles Koechlin, Nemesis by Andy Scott and Duo Sonata by Gregory Wanamaker. The recital also features two world premieres: tiny little pyramids by Mason Moy and Two Whitman Settings by Patrick Oswald.

In 2014, Cincotta performed alongside Berklee College of Music’s Wind Ensemble for the world premiere of Evan Cadavieco’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble. In the spring of 2019, as the winner of James Madison University’s concerto competition, Cincotta performed as the featured soloist with the university’s Symphony Orchestra during its Honors Concert.

Cincotta earned a B.M at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he studied with Lynn Klock, and is pursuing an M.M. at JMU, where he studies with David Pope.

The recital is free and open to the public.
