My name is Breanna Riley, and I have volunteered for Ride With Pride (a therapeutic horsemanship program) for six years.
I am also a Girl Scout and have recently completed my Gold Award (the highest award in girl scouting) by training a dedicated student of the program to become a volunteer for Ride With Pride. The training program lasted for eight lessons that included learning about breeds, basic medical care for the horse, and how best to help the student during a lesson.
During this program, the student grew in confidence and self-assurance and is now volunteer for the program.
