Breaking: Two dead in Orange County small plane crash

policeAt 4:31 p.m. Tuesday, Virginia State Police were notified of a plane crash in the 10,000 block of Tinder Lane in Orange County.

The plane is a small, fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft that crashed in the roadway at the intersection of Tinder Lane and Ridge Field Lane. There are two confirmed fatalities.

State police are on scene investigating the incident. The FAA and NTSB have been notified.

State police are still working on confirming the identification of the deceased and notifying next of kin.
