O’s killer Mookie Betts had three hits, and Jackie Bradley Jr. and David Ortiz homered in a 5-2 Boston win at Camden Yards Tuesday.
Betts (.317/.358/.542) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Ortiz hit his 36th homer, a three-run shot in the seventh, and Bradley hit his 26th, a solo homer in the fourth.
Kevin Gausman (8-11, 3.57 ERA, 1.27 WHIP) was battered in defeat, giving up five runs on 10 hits in six and a third innings.
Boston (87-64) has won six in a row to open up a five-game lead on Baltimore (82-69), which is still in the driver’s seat for an AL wild-card spot, with a two-game lead on Detroit for the second spot in the one-game playoff.
