Bob Marshall: Govs. Cuomo, Christie impose Ebola quarantine, McAuliffe silent

AFP

ebola4Last week Delegate Bob Marshall (R-13), Delegate Mark Berg, M.D. (R-29) and Senator Dick Black (R-13) sent a letter to Governor Terry McAuliffe asking him to use his police powers, such as quarantine, to help protect the citizens of Virginia from the threat of Ebola.

In light of today’s announcement from Govs. Cuomo (N.Y.) and Christie (N.J.) that they will be imposing a mandatory quarantine on any medical personnel returning from Ebola prevalent countries and possibly on all people traveling from these countries the three legislators have renewed their request that Governor McAuliffe use his power to protect Virginia’s citizens by imposing a similar quarantine on any travelers from these countries arriving at Dulles Airport or the Port of Virginia.

This scenario isn’t nearly as far-fetched as you no doubt think it is. Could...
