Big mouth: Ransome is vocal about Waynesboro Senior Center

Contributors

Larry Ransome has been a member of the Waynesboro Senior Center since 2004.

“It gives me the chance to meet new people,” said Ransome, who is a member of the Local Council at the Senior Center, which provides guidance to staff on activities and programs.

Everybody at the Senior Center knows Ransome.

“They say, There comes that big mouth, Larry. But that’s enjoyable to hear,” he said.

Ransome does his part to recruit community members to take part in what the Senior Center has to offer.

“I tell people, Why don’t you come down to the Senior Center? You’re sitting here doing nothing. You come down to the Center, you can do something. Talk with other people, shoot pool, whatever,” Ransome said.
