Big Band tribute to the holidays at the Wayne Theatre

big bandThe Big Band Age comes alive at the Wayne Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. with a Benny Goodman Tribute featuring The Boilermaker Jazz Band.

“With their unique brand of musical Americana and hot jazz revelry, the Boilermakers will bring the party to the Wayne,” said Tracy Straight, the executive director of the Wayne Theatre.

“When Swing Was King – The Music of Benny Goodman” features the best of Benny’s small band classics, big band themes, and great tunes made famous by Goodman’s Gals.

Led by Paul Cosentino on clarinet, this acclaimed group serves up swinging renditions of jazz classics and rarities through superb instrumentals and heartfelt vocals.

Tickets are $32/$37 and are on sale now.
