Thirteen Bath Community Senior Center members and three staff members enjoyed an overnight trip May 21 – 22 to Wytheville, VA, courtesy of The Bath County Parks and Recreation. With an early morning start and a quick stop for lunch, we arrived at the Quality Inn in Wytheville.
After checking in to the hotel, the group went to Walmart and the Dollar Tree, then to dinner at Cracker Barrel. The food was delicious! Once back at the hotel, several members went for a relaxing swim in the indoor pool and hot tub before turning in for the evening.
The next morning, we met for breakfast, packed the suitcases into the buses, and were off to the newly built Goodwill to shop before going to the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre to see the matinee “Hairspray.” The musical was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the performance, as well as the four course meal! Many seniors took pictures with the cast after the performance. It was a wonderful trip and was enjoyed by all!
