Baltimore walks off, beats Jays, 4-3

baltimore oriolesCaleb Joseph scored on a passed ball to give Baltimore a 4-3 extra-inning win over Toronto on Wednesday.

The 10th started with two quick outs for the O’s (9-4), who then loaded the bases against Joe Biagini (0-1, 0.00 ERA). With Adam Jones at the plate, Biagini threw a first-pitch fastball that crossed up catcher Josh Thole, trickled to his left and allowed Joseph to score from third.

Joey Rickard had three hits for the Orioles, and Manny Machado was 2-for-3 to improve his season average to .407.

Mychal Givens (1-0, 3.52 ERA) picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief.
