Chris Davis hit a three-run homer in the ninth off Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel to lift Baltimore to a 9-7 win on Monday.
The win pushes the Orioles to a 6-0 start in 2016, and was the first of the season for the O’s on the road.
Baltimore roughed up Boston ace David Price for five runs on five hits in five innings of work, with the big blow being another three-run homer, by Mark Trumbo in a five-run Orioles third.
Baltimore starter Yovani Gallardo had a tough afternoon of his own, also giving up five runs in five innings.
Davis was 2-for-5 at the plate for Baltimore with five runs batted in.
Brad Brach (2-0) got the win with a scoreless inning of relief, and Zach Britton notched his third save.
