UVA alum Tyler Wilson picked up his first win in 2016 as the Baltimore Orioles won at Kansas City, 8-3, Saturday night.
Wilson (1-0, 2.77 ERA) was making his first start of the season after three solid long-relief appearances. He allowed three runs on six hits in five innings, striking out two.
Chris Davis homered on a 4-for-5 night at the plate. Mark Trumbo had three hits, and Jonathan Schoop and Manny Machado each had two hits, as the O’s (11-5) rapped out 14 as a team.
Kris Medlen (1-1, 6.00 ERA) took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits in three and two-thirds innings.
