Kevin Gausman gave up two runs in seven and a third innings, pitching Baltimore into the American League playoffs in a 5-2 win at New York Sunday afternoon.
Gausman (9-12, 3.61 ERA) gave up eight hits, striking out three and walking one.
Zach Britton gave up two hits and struck out three in an inning and two-thirds to close out the clincher.
Matt Wieters (.243 BA, .711 OPS) had two homers (16, 17) and drove in four runs for the O’s (89-73), who now wait to see who they will play in the one-game AL wild-card round.
