Author Marietta McCarty to lead luncheon highlighting mental clarity

Join Marietta McCarty on Feb. 22 for a leisurely lunch featuring South American food to toast the chapter set in Brazil in The Philosopher’s Table.

marietta mccartyThe Commonwealth Restaurant and Skybar in Charlottesville, with its innovative cuisine and festive atmosphere, is the perfect setting for February philosophizing and socializing.

The luncheon runs from 1-3 p.m. The menu includes salad, chili grilled chicken, herb grilled portobello mushroom, wheatberry salad, yukon potato gratin, roasted yellow squast, chocolate bread pudding and coconut custard.

Marietta’s talk is scheduled for 1:45, an interactive conversation about the merits and the whereabouts of Mental Clarity, February’s topic in the book.
