Augusta Health celebrates Nurses’ Day

Augusta Health celebrated Nurses’ Day on Friday, May 6 by recognizing nurses for their education and professional development.

Those who were recognized included 35 nurses who completed BSN, MSN and DNP degrees in the past year; four who completed specialty certifications, and 36 who received awards from the WC Smith Nursing Excellence Fund to continue their educations through attendance at professional conferences and seminars in the coming year.

Registered nurses enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (RN-to-BSN) also received awards for textbooks.  Pictured are many of the nurses who received recognition, along with Denise Gargie, RN, Director of Clinical Excellence for Nursing at Augusta Health (far left) and Tami Radecke, VP and Executive Director of the Augusta Health Foundation (far right).
