Augusta County Spring Cleanup set for April 12-19

augusta-county2editsThe annual Augusta County Spring Clean-up is being held Saturday, April 12th – Saturday April 19th.  The Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:15 p.m., Monday through Saturday to accept waste.

New this year, six (6) or less car tires per household may be brought to the Landfill with no tipping fee.  Fees will not be waived for tractor trailer tires.  Past years have allowed 12 or less car tires with no tipping fee. Tires mounted on split rims or from businesses will not be accepted.

In addition to the Landfill, appliances will be accepted at the following satellite Landfill locations: Augusta Springs, Crimora, Greenville, Mount Solon and New Hope.

The following Ruritan Clubs are hosting clean-up events in their communities; Middlebrook (Middlebrook Post Office), Deerfield (Community Center), Beverley Manor (Swoope Volunteer Fire Department), New Hope (Compactor Site).

Goodwill will be located at the Landfill to accept computer, small electronics, clothing, books, etc.
