Update: Augusta County Sheriff’s Office locates county man

Update: Friday, 12:30 a.m. Ira Madison Smith has been safely located, according to a report from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

 

First report: Thursday, 6:47 p.m. The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office received a report Thursday regarding a county resident who was reported missing by a friend.

Ira Madison Smith, 55, who is 5’10”, 145 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, was last seen on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Smith walks with a cane.
