Focused on Augusta County’s largest tourism assets, the new site highlights Outdoor Recreation, Scenic Drives & Motorcycle Tours, Farms, Craft Beer, and Antiques as well as Augusta County’s strong wine, food, and attraction offerings. The picture-rich website includes a new tagline, “All Augusta, All Outside,” and highlights the scenic views available in Virginia’s second-largest county. Along with a light, bright design, the tagline reflects our destination’s family-friendly and affordable qualities.
Visitors can find weekend and week-long itinerary ideas and are encouraged to remember Augusta County’s diverse lodging options. From hotels to cabins to campgrounds to farm lodging, Augusta County provides visitors multiple offerings for different experiences. These options provide a perfect base camp for mountain adventures, downtown dining or visits to many farms along the Fields of Gold trail or the craft breweries on the Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail.
“With almost 1,000 square miles in geography, Augusta County is a rich opportunity for visitors looking for varied experiences,” said Gerald Garber, Chairman of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors. “Our outdoor recreation opportunities influence so many of these experiences from being home to the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway to being an agricultural hub bringing accessible food to home tables and quality restaurants.”
