Anne McPherson to join the staff of the United Way of Greater Augusta

United Way of Greater Augusta announced Monday that Anne McPherson will join the United Way staff as the community investment and relations manager.

united-way-of-greater-augusta2McPherson is a graduate of James Madison University, and her most recent position was as the foundation assistant for the American Frontier Culture Museum Foundation. She brings experience in constituent relations in both the private and public sector and has managed large-scale events and interacted with key stakeholders at many levels.

Prior to joining the Frontier Culture Museum, McPherson worked for Rosetta Stone as a customer relations manager and institutional global partner manager, and as part of her work there she prepared, presented and analyzed complex sales data, including sell-through analysis and forecasting.

In the role as the community investment and relations manager at the United Way, McPherson will manage the planning, organization, direction and to conduct all facets of community relations, communications and events. She will help plan and implement the United Way of Greater Augusta’s Community Investment system from discovery of community need, to procurement of funds via grants and community investment. She will manage the process of the selection of funded partners and report results to the community. Anne will be responsible for all volunteer development via the regional volunteer site and constituent or nonprofit organization engagement.
