Anemic O’s fall to Angels, 6-1

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesMatt Shoemaker and two Angels relievers held the O’s to three hits in a 6-1 Los Angeles victory Saturday at Camden Yards.

Baltimore went down to defeat for the eighth time in its last 11 games to fall to a season-worst four games under .500.

Shoemaker (3-3) gave up a run on three hits in seven innings of work, striking out seven and not issuing any walks.

Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez (3-3) was the tough-luck loser, giving up two runs on seven hits in seven innings of work, striking out six without a walk.

Mike Trout hit his 10th homer of the season for the Angels, a solo shot in the eighth. David Freese also homered for L.A., his ninth of the season, a solo shot in the ninth inning.
