Andrea Oakes elected mayor of Staunton

Staunton City Council elected Andrea Oakes as its new mayor at its organizational meeting today, July 1.

Mark Robertson was elected vice mayor. Oakes and Robertson will serve in these offices for the coming two years.

Newly elected council members Stephen W. Claffey and Amy G. Darby were formally sworn in at the meeting.
