Albemarle County: Shooting on Sunday leaves one victim with serious injuries

One adult is receiving treatment at UVA Health for a gunshot wound after an incident in Crozet on Sunday.

Roger Lee Lamb, 35, of Crozet, is in custody facing charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, the shooting took place at approximately 3 p.m. in the 5500 block of Doyles Side Lane.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, who has not been named, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Lamb is being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
